It's a love song. It's reminiscent of going to a roller rink in your youth, being in love, the centrifugal force of it all, the disco ball, the forces of attraction as you spin one another holding each other's hands with outstretched arms, hair waving and all, polished wooden floors, scuff marks and all. Or it's about how love can make you feel young. How love can make you feel safe. And, hey, have gratitude for the love you have in your life. Don't take it for granted. And if you need love, I'm sending it your way as we speak. I'm rollerskating on your shoulder, round that disco ball head of yours.
My wife thinks the chorus is really tongue and cheek because I lay it on pretty heavy with the loving lyrics. Oo la la!
